meet the photographer
Artist, storyteller, capturing meaningful moments across Wisconsin and beyond.
I fell in love with photography when I was twelve years old and got my very first camera. I spent hours photographing landscapes, nature, and anything that inspired me. Even then, I was fascinated by how light, shadows, and colors could change the entire mood of a photograph.
When I attended art school at UW–Madison, I initially planned to become a graphic designer. But everything changed after taking a film photography class. Watching images appear in the darkroom felt like magic, and I knew immediately that photography was what I wanted to pursue.
I began photographing friends and family while still in school and officially started my photography business shortly after graduating.
In 2014, I became a mom, and photography took on an entirely new meaning for me.
Before that, I loved photographing beautiful things — landscapes, light, and quiet moments in nature. But becoming a mother shifted my perspective. I began to see photography as a way to hold onto time.
In 2017, I welcomed twins, and suddenly life became wonderfully full with three little ones. Raising my family while running my photography business gave me an even deeper appreciation for how quickly these moments pass.
Photographs allow us to hold onto the little things — the laughter, the connection, the tiny details that eventually become our most treasured memories.
In 2019, I opened The Studio Collective in the heart of historic downtown Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
This space means so much to me because it was built on a dream I had carried for many years — the dream of creating a beautiful place where photography, creativity, and community could come together.
When the opportunity finally came to bring it to life, my children were still very little. My son was four, and my twins had just turned one. My parents helped me remodel the space, and my kids often came along while we worked. It was messy and busy and full of life — but it was also incredibly meaningful.
Creating the studio alongside my family made the experience even more special. What started as a dream slowly became a real place where memories are now created every day.
My goal is always to create photographs that feel natural, timeless, and full of life.
My sessions are relaxed, joyful, and naturally guided so you can simply be yourself.
Clients often describe me as a bit of a hype girl — I want you to feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful in front of the camera!
Over the years many of my clients have become like family. I get to witness their milestones, their stories, and the moments that shape their lives.
Being trusted to capture those memories is something I never take lightly.
