Hamann

I arrived Hair Expressions in Lodi, WI at 11am as the girls were getting ready for the big day ahead. Chelsea was very calm yet excited to see what the day would hold. Once hair and makeup was complete, we drove to the beautiful Saint John the Baptist Catholic Church in Waunakee, WI. The girls put on their navy dresses and stood in awe as Chelsea got in her beautiful lace wedding gown. Chelsea and her dad met in the hallway and both tried their hardest to hold back the tears. Moments later, it was time. The recessional began and the wedding party walked down the aisle followed by Richie and his parents, then Chelsea and her dad. Richie’s reaction to his bride was definitely one I won’t forgot. The ceremony, led by Monsignor James Gunn, was beyond beautiful. Chelsea and Richie shared a kiss and they were now, officially, husband and wife.
Mr. & Mrs. Hamann stood in the doors of the church and thanked their guests for coming to share their special day with them.
After taking some photos at the church, I hopped on the bus with the wedding party and had my first taste of how the rest of the night would go. To say that this group was one of the most fun parties I have had the pleasure of capturing is definitely an understatement. They joyfully sang along to “Marry you” by Bruno Mars and displayed a few sweet dance moves to Petey Pablo’s “Freek-a-leek.”
Oh, and I can’t forget. They took selfies. A LOT of selfies! 🙂
Our first stop was KD’s Bar & Grill in Lodi, WI. They all sat at the bar and did a shot of Tequila then hopped on the Volleyball court for a game of boys vs. girls. I was amazed at how well the girls played, especially in their dresses! They, of course, beat the boys.
We then went up to the Wilderness in Wisconsin Dells for the reception. The Sandstone Ballroom was beautifully decorated with yellow and white flowers and a cupcake table for guests to help themselves. Chelsea’s father gave a very heart felt speech and said a prayer before the guests ate their dinner. Later, Richie’s best friend, Reed, spoke of their life long friendship and Chelsea’s sister, Samantha, reminisced about their childhood. But the main thing that everyone gathered from their kind words was that they all believed Chelsea and Richie were meant to be.
The Bride & Groom shared a dance, along with a dance with their parents. Then, the guests hit the floor. And let me tell you, these people can dance. They did the whip. They did the nae nae. They did the cha cha slide and they did the wobble. It is definitely clear that this was a group that came to have a good time!
Chelsea & Richie, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your wedding day.
I hope that these photos will allow you to forever remember every moment.
